Cocoon

Not merely a signifier of rest and change, a cocoon is also a cosy retreat for the inhabitant. Inspired by the cocoon, this home represents exactly that for the homeowners looking for a spot to escape into.

 

To create their personal hideaway, a warm grey palette coupled with accents of rich dark walnut wood was selected, forming a timeless and soothing atmosphere that encapsulates the space. A full-length tea-tinted mirror stands guard by the entrance, casting the illusion of a wider foyer while reflecting the glow from the downlights, gently brightening the area.

 

Hiding behind the mirror is a custom carpentry made to house the television – a metaphorical invitation into the communal area of the apartment which while occasionally lively, still emanates a soft radiance that tenderly embraces all who enter.

 

Continuing with the theme, the bedroom features a minimalist limewash wall, a plush upholstered bed frame, and barely there curtains; transforming the room into a serene sanctuary.
