Hair salons are often thought of as wide, open spaces with little privacy; but not Coulisse Heir. Designed with privacy in mind, each customer gets ushered into their own organically shaped pod for an exclusive experience dipped in luxury and comfort.
The reception is made of a muted rainbow steel for a soft contrast against the natural palette of beige and wood. Sitting at the centre of the salon is a cool marble table where customers can peruse and purchase merchandise from upon leaving their respective pods and entering the corridor – affectionately called the cocoon due to its cosy ambience.
In the flurry of picture-perfect homes where nothing strays from its place is a walk-up apartment that rejects the notion of perfection. Home to a young couple, this flat celebrates the raw, natural beauty of the materials used to construct it.
A distinctive structural column stripped of its paint and plaster is left exposed, and welcomed like a valuable artwork in a gallery.
