Mian Jia Noodle Bar
layers and layers of flavour and experience
Anybody who has made a bowl of piping hot 'la mian' (Chinese hand-pulled noodles) will understand that preparing this seemingly simple dish is an art form that requires perfecting the many steps it consists of. It was only natural that the art of making these noodles became the very inspiration for the facelift of this noodle bar.
The concept was split into three main elements - the bowl, the noodles, and the speciality ingredients - with each element representing a part of the space. The floor, walls, and ceiling are meant to symbolise the bowl that the dish sits in and encompasses the space to which the main attraction belongs. The noodles are represented by the bar counter and booth seats, forming the foundation of the space. Symbolising the accents of the design as the speciality ingredients. The accents area is meant to add more of a flair to the space. With this, the customers are able to picture the making of these noodles through the interior.
